ok, so upgraded to p67 got a i5 2500k sorted out the pc cables, put in the graphics card, cpu cooler, ram and everything all of them were working before the mobo and cpu upgrade and now it wont boot

i have a feeling that its the power sw slot on motherboard and that im doing something wrong but i tried almost everything... so im guessing its a motherboard defect if it wont boot at all, cant be cpu because it would post atleast?? well i dunno any ideas? just help me plzz

What happens when you turn it on, can you see it post, any beeps or lights?

I had a problem with my P8P67 when i first had it and tried booting for the first time for some reason it would not boot with my Steelseries XAI or any other USB devices plugged in. After removing them it worked OK and after installing Windows the problem went away.

curses upon the mother****** thing, will try my old mobo again but second thing i bought from aria thats dead. two in a row make it 3 if this one is dead aswell

tried that last time, with the 800w mushkin psu dying, no response

PC should still power on,unless there has been some radical change with this chipset.Just to rule that out,try just one stick of RAM,but judging by what you have said its the mobo.

(I know this sounds silly,BUT you do have the 24 pin and the cpu 8 pin in don't you?)

It shouldn't matter what slots the RAM is in it should still boot but if there is no light on the mobo it means there is no power going into it and if there is, something is not working properly. If it was something to do with RAM, CPU or GPU you would usually get a beep code but seen as it wont even turn on it's more than likely the mobo it's self, if the PSU is definietly working then that can be ruled out to.

i had this happen once, what i did to remedy it was turn switch off on psu, then hit the main power button on case .

I had a charge, or static on the psu or board and it needed dissapating.

You can see the fans spin momentarily while the psu is switched off when doing it.

No idea rang ccl pretended that i bought it from them and they told me to take it out of the case, clean the case out, run a cloth behind the motherboard, reseat processer and all cables and well..it worked

Lucky you did that instead of just RMAing it.

Yeah aria would have charged me like £30 for testing and £14 shipping, not worth it for a £105 motherboard

just thought i would let you know pc started as decent gaming rig specs :

I5 760

GA-P55-USB3

4GB DDR3

HD 5770

Corsair tx650w

coolermaster storm scout

corsair h50

f3 1tb hdd

Now is a good gaming rig i think?

I5 2500K

MSI-P67A-G45

4GB DDR3

GTX 560ti

Corsair HX750W

NZXT Phantom

Noctua NH-D14

Corsair 64GB SSD + F3 1TB

almost every part upgraded and £400 later i got that lol, will show pics later in rig gallery just need to tidy up and will post in work areas just waiting on my new boogie bug xl mouse mat, which is 4 days late from scan... son of .....

That is one nice little rig you have yourself

Next on my list is a 560TI, I need to get a new PSU first though the one I have now is a cheap o one and the wires are that short I have had to put it in the optical bay (I know, I know..) so all the connectors reach the right places
