No Antivirus run

  1. The Windows Defender Offline creates an ISO file called MSSS_Media.iso and saves it to: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Windows Defender Offline
I thought it was an option when you launch the software?

No, that happens automatically from that msstool64.exe.

EDIT I got that iso using the 3rd option. Now I guess I have to put it an the usb stick and then boot pc from that?

I run that rufus but the option "create a bootable disk using.... " is untickable.

livadi, you just cannot believe how familiar your situation sounds to me...However I tried to install over than 10 different antivurus programs... What I did to solve my problem is to copy all valuable information to a couple of flashs, format my PC completely and re-install Windows...fortunately it worked :) ...Hope i was helpful...

U dont believe that after 25 days I still have this problem?:)
Of course a complete format is a solution, but not the only one.
I used that Windows Defender Offline which our friend suggested, and virus gone.

Too bad you don't have a hard drive dock. You could just attach that to a clean computer, pop out your hd, scan it in the dock and clean it.

maybe you should try the option "Last Known Good Configuration"...there is another thing that may cause this issue - Windows Updates, I'm pretty sure that there is a way to restore your PC before a particular update...It worked for me, hope it will for you as well...

Did you happen to try the deployment image servicing and management tool?

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If the clean machine has an AV, then it should not infect it.

Dont be so sure, I got infected twice in a year with Avast enabled...

Jane and Kong, are you talking to me? As I said in post#25, I have no problem any more.

Jane, excuse me too for getting solution before your post...
Its a good idea to read a thread before write in it.
