Wasn`t quite sure where to post this, so I dropped it here.
I`m one that will rant and rave about something that pishes me off, but similarly I like to say when something turns out nice.
I placed an order with Scan about a month ago for an mp3 player for my niece - great, nice`n`new, happened to be pink, well girl - u know.
Anywho, the next day goods oos - accepted that and to be fair I wasn`t that supprized, 1G player, useable as a usb device ~£30 on their TodaySpecial, well so be it.
It did take 4 weeks to eventually get the goods in stock, and I did have to kickstart them into remembering the old order slightly (prehaps I pre-empted them I dunno).
Now - I`ve received the player (plus a handful of excedingly cheap printer cartridges that happened to be on offer...), and it works really well - however I noticed a small scratch pairing on the side of the unit - if u weren`t told it was there, u probably wouldn`t notice it (possibly) - trust me to see it.
Matter of fact I emailed Scan to inform them, as part of the course, just to explain to them I`d be reluctant to RMA it due to the time taken to receive it, I know as soon as I give her the player it`s likely to be on 24/7 and she`ll be happy either way that she`s finally got it. Just for their records if u like.
Later on in the day I get an email back from their cs department informing me that they understand my reluctance to return the item and they will take it up with the manufacturer, however the offer of RMA does exist if I so choose - in the meantime please accept this guesture of goodwill of a refund credited to my card, equiv to the pnp plus vat (~£8). To which I think I`ll go out and get her a shizzle load of batteries or something.
I just thought that was a nice thing to mention, aside all the nightmares u do hear about places.
