Yep, got my 2007wfp monitor last Wednesday, and man it looks nice. Really sturdy, nice build and that. Such a shame that when I turn it on, its a totally different story. Gradient banding even on my fecking background! Its all on the forums etc. just google it :( Mine is even the newest revision AO3 and its been a problem since A00. Awwww shizzzlesticks there even banding on the firefox address bar and this is desktop mode THE LEAST AFFECTED MODE.

Apart from that nice monitor dell

Shame i need to find my service number code on the back of the monitor, which i cant actually find just to email the feckers...sorry if this is a rant but come on!
 
Just ring them up and moan. They'll send you a replaceent. Keep getting them until they realise your not gonna let off and then they'll give you a nice freebie :p

Service tag is easy to find on the monitor, also it's on the box.
 
When I had trouble with my Dell 2007WFP I got it replaced because of banding across the screen (it was an early A01 version).

Rang them up and they replaced it without any hesitation.

Then the one I recieved had 5 dead pixels and they replaced that one and did a pixel check before giving me the new one.

And thats the one i have now.

Amazing support if you ask me :)
 
Ive always heard worse of Dell about their support. Heard it was like Alienwares where you spend 6 months on the phone and still get anywhere. Guess it could have gotten better. GL with that man.

With monitors you have next business day warranty replacement and it's actually very very good
 
Aye, my cousin bought a 2005wfp (or w/e it is) a while back from them. Had extremely minor backlight bleed. He called for an RMA, they sent him a new one without asking for the old one back. Since the bleed was really minor, he still uses it, so he got a dual 20" monitor setup for the price of one :D
 
They came at 7:40am!!!! Picked up the old one, left another one...SAME FRICKIN PROBLEMS

Keep going mate. Get a couple of replacements and moan enough and you may have a nice upgrade :)

Gone to 2 screens and you get the same porblem? Just a suggestion.

But yeah, if nothing else is wrong keep going. Dell are a nice company.

@Tox: It's unlikely that it is something else. The banding issues with the 2007wfp were fairly well-known, though I had thought it was mainly their first versions
