From the photos released at Noctua's website, it doesn't look like the prototypes shown at Computex 2011. From their description and specs of the product, it should be exactly the same as the original D14. The prototype may be used in the future perhaps?

thats what I'm thinking as well seein as the measurements are identical to the 1st gen D-14

yeah he said it a few times no doubt about it but in referring to the prototypes and such but it doesnt look like that refinement made it to this version.

Yup, seeing that it's just the prototype version and not a ready to be released model, they may just work on it until they're happy to release a final model in the future.

The only notable cooler from what was probably Computex I remember was Noctua's triple tower cooler but that was it, the rest looked like just revised D-14s and S-14s
