I am a Newbie over my head!... I started building my first computer yesterday with my cousin and uncle offering help. Everything was going good tell we got to putting the raystorm water block onto the Asus rampage iv extreme board. Asus has its own back-plate it seems and it dose not seem to line up right with the 2011 back-plate offered with the ray-storm. Now I don't know what to do. has anyone else had this problem is there a solution, could I simply buy dif screws from the hardwere store or is there another solution.

normal you remove the MB back plate and use the one that comes with the raystorm. How ever sounds like you have the raystorm block that didn't come with the 2011 Screw sets.

Alot of block manufacturers thought that there blocks would fit on the new boards and then found out later they had to use different screw sizes.

HHHmmmm You may be right, dose that mean raystorm would be accountable or the one's I bought it threw and therefore should I request a new set of screws from them?, actually if its something as simply the right screws perhaps the local hardware store can help... but perhaps not the screws look specialized

OK first check that your waterblock came with these 'bolts'. If it has come with them you should be able to use the 2011 mounting with little fuss.

If it didn't you could still use the 1366 mounting following this guide. It's not very detailed but that may be because the instructions with the board detail this further.
