Hi everyone,
Wasn't aware of OC3D until a comp popped up on my feed, glad I found this place!
I used to build my friends' PCs for a giggle about 15 years ago, since then I've built a couple for myself when all the hardware became too old to run the next generation of stuff, but not really got into it as much as I used to be.
I might have to do a couple of upgrades this year, just because Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming out and I'm pretty sure my rig isn't going to be able to play it without getting choppy and having to run it on lowest gfx settings. (I have NFS which is built on Frostbite as ME:A will be and it lags horrendously during cop chases or if there are too many npcs or other players on the screen...meh!)
Currently running a GTX650Ti Boost, which has been fine up until now but it's starting to show its age a bit with more modern games. Also running an i5-6500 and 8gb of Corsair Vengeance on a Z170-A.
I don't have the money to really get to grips with building an uber "destroys all in its path" rig, but as long as I can get ME:A to run nicely on a high gfx setting I'll be happy. ^_^
Nice to meet you all, happy new year!
