Hey guys first off I would like to thank all of you for your help i advance a couple of years ago I got a new pre-built computer (I know it was a gift from my parents) so long story short is that the guy they got to make it for me messed it up and got me last generation at that time(I told him I wanted around 3 GHz he gt me 2.6 duel core) and now I need a new graphics card to run the latest games(witchr 2,battefield,crysis 2,ect...) all on high no anti-aliasing and it has to be UNDER 100 DOLLARS. since I 'm 15 and saving for a future proper build (IVY bridge or BULLDOZER) but that won't be before Q2 2012.

So once again thank you and waiting for your replies.

Easy choice here I think....

ATI HD4870 1Gb.

Had on eBay for $95-100 shipped. Solid card, plays most games maxed out + AA. I was rocking current games maxed out + 8x AA on a 512mb card and they ran great. The 512mb version can be had for ~$60 shipped. I just recently picked up a second matching card to run 2 512's in CrossFire. Cheap and powerful!!!

on what resolution and what games exactly and thanks for the reply

1920x1080

Most recent game would be the BF3 Alpha.

Others to include: COD MW2 & Badco 2, GTA IV, and Dirt 2

AA level varies between all of them, some higher than others. The 4870 is still a very capable card.

Really? I have a 4850 and while it isn't a bad budget card by any stretch of the imagination unless the 4870 is a HUGE leap in terms of performance over it I sincerely doubt it's going to run games like Witcher 2 or Crysis 2 on high at 1920 x 1080 without the FPS consistently dipping below 25...which is exactly what my 4850 does at 1280x1080.

If you could smoothly play modern games on high at a decent resolution with only AA switched off for less than $100 people wouldn't buy $600 cards.

The 4870 rapes the 4850 pretty good.... It is a much more capable card, even more so once it's clocked. There's a bit more headroom with clocking being that the 4870 comes with a dual slot cooler and most reference 4850's have the much smaller single slot cooler.

Crysis 2 on HQ w/ AA turned off runs ~30fps @ 1920x1080. It suffers on UHQ quite a bit, around ~10fps, but it's Crysis 2 FFS.... HQ is easily playable and looks lush to boot.

I think you're missing the point totally dude.

+1 on the 4870. I ran GTA IV @ 80fps all on max (no AA or shadows). I loved that card soo much, I had the chance to mess with it again a few months back, it was beautiful.

I dunno... The HD 4870 512mb outperforms the 6750 1gb in every test I've seen, and as I said you can get the 4870 for ~$60 shipped.

4870 = more shaders & higher clock speed than 6750.

As far as a brand new option, yeah, that's a good card for the price.

I just picked this because dx11 also uses half the power that does. It should be quieter and cooler as well.

But for $60 the 4870 is properly better better.

thanks everyone for your replies the 4870 it is now does any 1 know where I can get the 1 GB version bec. I cant find it

The majority of them on eBay here in the states are the 1gb version. I actually had to fight to find a 512 version to match with my other one, haha.

As Youngie said it's not really necessary but will give you a decent performance boost trying to play stuff like Crysis which is a freakin' memory hog.
