New Socket 1155 build

I am planning on a build along the lines of the following:

Gigabyte P67A-UD5-B3 Intel P67 Chipset (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM

Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8)

Noctua NH-D14 Dual Radiator CPU Cooler

2 x Gainward GeForce GTX 580 "GOOD Edition" 1536MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Lian-Li PC-X2000FB

CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1000W

Crucial C300 SSD 256GB

Can anyone advise if it is possible to fit this RAM with the Noctua NH-D14 given the larger heatsinks on the RAM? If not would it be better to change the RAM (e.g. Corsair XMS3 8GB kit) or change the CPU cooler to something like the Thermalright Venomous X (assuming that will fit this setup?)?

I plan on overclocking the 2600K to about 4.2GHz-4.5GHz depending on stability but would like to keep noise as low as possible.

Ad does anyone have any experience with this case and the noise levels it operates at?

You will not be able to run the Vengence with the D14. If you ask me, I would get different memory before thinking about getting a different cooler. Look at Mushkin, or some of Kingston's ram. All mushkin will fit for sure. I would also recommend you to grab a different power supply, but that is a kind of biased advise. I had 2 Cooler Master PSU go kaput (one was in a friend's PC), so I now prefer Corsair, Seasonic and Enermax as far as PSU brands go. But yea, just grab the D14 and some Mushkin memory and you will be all set for a great system

Are there any good Mushkin models you can recommend that play best with the Sandybridge config, given the 1.5V recommendation? I would like to run the RAM at least 1600MHz if possible (or faster if there are any compatible models).

In addition, with thermal paste is there a particular brand I should use for maximum coolness? Or will the thermal paste that comes with the Noctua be effective enough?

100% agreed on the PSU part , the coolermaster 700w 900w and 1000w are all a POS

and YES all (the 900w 2x after RMA) of the mentioned PSU's blew up on me and blew up BIGtime !

can't believe they are still selling PSU's to be honest....

though ive had my coolermaster psu for a good 3-4 years and never once had a problem with it, though i understand your situation i wouldn't go with them again if that happened to me

i would go with a Mushkin Psu and Some Mushkin Memory,

most of mushkin memory modules are 1.65v but pretty sure they would still work

The D14 would be best tbh

and a 800W/ 1KW Mushkin joule enhanced Psu they seem to be good. mines silent and seems solid, cant comment on long term reliability, but seems good, nice cable length aswell and they are really cheap.

Stick with the Noctua mate, anything else is bar water cooling will be a step down in cooling performance. Mushkin Ridgeback or Mushkin Ridgeback Redline will fit just fine mate

ive seen some mushkin blackline 8gb kit 1.35V 1600mhz
