New Build Advice

Hi All,

I am planning to build my gaming rig, my budget was around 800 £. Here the list of the components:


CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black Edition
M/B: MSI 970 GAMING
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S
PSU: 750W Corsair Builder Series
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB or 4GB EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW+ GAMING ACX 2.0+
SSD (just for the system): 240GB SanDisk Z410 Business Class SSD
Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02
WIFI: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I (rev 4.2) PCIe WiFi Card (since I am not allowed to run any cables through the walls)

I am struggling with my GPU, all I do is gaming so I want the best performance for the value really, what do you think about those 2 GPUs ? any suggestions ? own experience, and also I'll be overclocking both GPU and CPU as high as possible

Id rethink the PSU - thats your PC's heart.

The builder is 'fine' but I think youd be better of with an upgrade

Any of the CS models or if you can stretch to it go for one of the RM units.
