New Ram Upgrade for Asus P8P67 Motherboard

Hi,

I bought some 8GB Mushkin Ridgeback #996987 (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz 9-11-9-27 RAM from Aria PC a year ago and I now want to buy some more RAM that is compatible with my current RAM and my motherboard, but Aria PC have stopped stocking the RAM I bought last year, can you recommend some suitable RAM to complement my current system?

Blue Corsair Vengance LP or G.Skills Ripjaws would go well with a P8P67.

I would suggest the crucial ballistix ram as a replacement to the ram you have now, hope this is of some help to you

Memory Upgrade

Thanks guys for your advice about the different memory options.

I purchased the original Mushkin RAM as they didn't have much of a heatsink on them so they could fit under the noctua heatsink/cooling fan on top of the processor. Also it means they are a more efficient chip as they don't need to dissapate the heat as much as the ram memory with larger heat sinks.

I was also looking at the Mushkin Enhanced Blackline Ridgeback, I'm not sure whether the cache latencies between the two types of ram are compatible, I have asked Aria PC, they said they were but they recommended against using two different models of RAM, is this correct? and what would you recommend?

I think I need more memory as I have sql server and a media server running amongst other things running in the background and when programming in eclipse I get a message appear about a lack of system memory.
