Planning new build this year, i have already decided to wait for intel socket 2011 unless of course Bulldozer lives up to the hype, so obviously cpu and motherboards are impossible to plan for at the moment but i would like some ideas regarding everything else ie case, psu, ram, ssd,etc

For GFX i was thinking gtx 580 but have now opted for 2 570s that i will watercool and this will allow me to use 3 monitors at a later date, also I kinda like the corsair obsidian 800d especially now they have usb 3 and sata 3 support.

So any ideas would be appreciated as long as it doesnt go way over my budget, thanks

800D I believe is supposed to be a brilliant case if you're water cooling so no problems there.

PSU you probably want modular as your budget should allow it in which case Corsair AX or HX series, I think Mushkin are a good upcoming PSU brand as well so it could be worth giving them a look.

RAM is also impossible to look for at this stage as you don't know what you're getting yet.

SSD probably Corsair P-3 series, would be helpful to know what you're planning to store on there though, OS, OS and a few programs? Would be best to get a SATA III compatible motherboard when the time comes if you got that as well.

thanks for reply, ssd will be to store OS, photoshop, 3dsmax and a 2-3 games at most, i have a 1TB drive for storage so no probs there. yeah ram is rumored to be quad channel on sandy bridge E socket 2011 but all is unconfirmed.

motherboard i'm looking for something really good here as this will facilitate future upgrades, hoping to get what will be socket 2011 version of what rampage III extreme is to 1366 at the moment.

Like i said tho i have plenty of time but any ideas or crtique is much apprecated, thanks

In that case you'd probably want a 120 GB SSD to be on the safe side, unless you were happy putting those 2 or 3 games on the storage drive, in which case 60 may just facilitate your needs, don't know how much room 3DSMax and Photoshop take up though.
