I have come up with this list of PC parts for my upgrade!

I currently have:

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 ATX LGA1155
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Crucial M4 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 570 1.25GB Video Card
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 570 1.25GB Video Card
Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: be quiet! 750W Dark Power 9
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

I am going to sell most of this except the case the CPU-cooler and the optical drive to my mates and my mum (she needs a new PC for working at home).

I am going to buy:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair 760W 80 PLUS Platinum

What are your thoughts on it?

Paul

Edit: FUCKING SMILEYS!

2600k -> 4770k is not much of an upgrade tbh. Neither is the SSD as you already have one that's the same capacity or the power supply cause the one that you have now will power that system just fine.

You'd be better off just buying 2 more sticks of RAM (if you need the upgrade) and upgrading your GPU imo.

The build that you're suggesting is something that I'd only do if I had too much money and just wanted to build a pc for the sake of building a PC.

Yes, I know but I can either sell the whole thing or nothing... and who says that I am not shitting money In the mornings...

paulthephil,
why are you starting another thread (same title) as you have already made a
thread (same title) and have responses to it?
please, if you need further advise on the same topic, reply in that topic, do not
create another thread. if you don't like the answers given, either wait for a better
response or re-evaluate question asked.

this thread will be closed.
