Hey there peeps, i wish u all a merry Xmas and a happy newyear.

Im on the lookout for a new monitor wich is atleast 24 inch, and currently a i have a fine 22inch dell sp2208WFP wich has a glossy coating and colours look awesome. But the max res is 1650x... and i really want full HD, also i want to be able to hook up my ps3 easily. And i went to a local office centre and saw the HP 2510i wich is an awesome looking monitor that is 25 inch ( perfect size) the problem is that it only has one dvi and one vga and no HDMI ports. So my question is what monitors do you recommend, For me colours and sharpness is very imporant.

all advice is much appreciated.

hmm around 250 euros, so around 300 dollars

also, i heard very good things about the BenQ 2420 and 2430, but the responsetime is 8ms, and i wonderded is this actually very noticable? or is it just something that u see when running spedcific tests? i play bf3 and my current screen has 2ms.

With regards

2ms and 8ms will not be noticeable imo. I game on a Dell U2410 and the response time is 6ms iirc, and I see no input lag of any kind. Have you checked out the U2412, it is an excellent monitor for the price and because you said colour and sharpness is really important to you, it would be a really good match.

It is pretty expensive, but the screen quality is awesome and the build quality is amazing. There's the Dell U2412, which is similar, but cheaper.

If it's 8ms GTG (Grey to Grey), then avoid it. Anything under 8ms is OK, just check reviews to see if there is going to be ghosting or not.

aah ok thats a very helpfull tip m8

, i might just buy the HP 2510i because i saw on the internet that there is a cable for sale that gives a HDMi and DVI,with just a DVI plugin
