New Graphics Card(s)

I am looking for a new GPU setup for my rig. I am currently looking at going with a XFX branded 5870($300-400 range) or maybe going with a 6870 and then adding another in the future for crossfire. From what I have read the performance of the two 6870s would be a little more than the 5870, cost a little more too. Looking for a good bang for the buck.

Any suggestions?

The 6870 is more or less the same performance as a 5870 give or take a few % depending on the game.

Just go with a 6870 and save your self the money matey.

Wait till the GTX 5xx series and the Radeon 69xx series come out. That will cause prices to drop more.

If you're on the price drop thing go with Nvidia. ATI seem to be resting on their laurels a little bit when it comes to slashing prices. Some of the Geforce cards now cost 50% of what they did when they released yet ATI have been as mean as dishwater when it comes to lowering prices.

The 5 series will change that though. It could be a new leaf for Nvidia at which point AMD will have to lower prices.
