New Full Build - its been 7 years!

Nothing that will fit this set up apart from the H60 i'm using on this pc at the moment.

Il probably just get everything I can on order and start building or getting everything ready.

Excited!!!

Again guys thanks for all your help!

I decided to tweak it just a little, switched out the power supply for the Seasonic Snow Silent 1050 that JR recommended a while back since we are back on the white/black theme the X99 Deluxe unfortunately this has put a little delay on things as not due into stock till 12 Feb. Unless you guys can recommend a good white alternative I looked at the Fractal Design Newton R3 Smart Modular 1000W White Power Supply but know nothing about them.

Definitely want to wait for the Kelvin S36 and will 3 x Corsair SP120 Performance PWM Edition with the stock fans in the roof for push pull.

Either way ordering everything tonight apart from the cooler and additional fans (will order those together) as I am waiting on info from Fractal.

Ok I know you guys have tried to talk me out of it and i'm not an extreme overclocker but I cant stop toying with the idea of Swapping the mother board for the Rampage V Extreme and memory for the Ripjaw 4's in red of course...

I don't want to think your good advice has gone on deaf ears its just I keep saying to myself that I'm spending all this money why not just do it

Oh lol, well we can't really say anything then, neither of them are bad products at all and with certainty they are both overkill. I thought the Deluxe was better matched to the theme you were going for originally. That's more of the reason why I included it than it's pricing.

This just got posted on my facebook feed literally as I was typing this out. The ripjaws don't look that great IMO

Look at that, even scan can do a good job with the 780T and an X99-A in this case, I think it's a really well balanced look.

Anyway I presume you've looked around already but i'll just leave these here.

To be honest they both look pretty nice, the X99 does look lovely but it is also a much better picture. Dam now I'm stuck..

I have never liked the red black theme, its so overused now. And the ripjaw heatsinks are not very appealing :( I thought they would have improved them by now.

Quite like the 780T build. Quite surprising to see something like that done by Scan ;)

Oh, and the sag on those Asus cards is horrible comparing it with the soundcard inbetween.

I am still trying to decide if I like LED fan on the inside of the case or not to be honest.

Agree, agree, agree.

It does look good for a system builder like scan, OCUK are starting to put some major effort in too on high end stuff. I think in actual fact the sound card will be sticking up rather than it being all sag on the cards. Audio wires in the back tend to twist the whole card up as it's only supported with a tiny finger of PCB. Those graphics cards are solid too, you could square all that up with a little patience, bad picture for it too.

They are both good pictures, just scan have better taste than the other guy :p surprising really, even the blue LED's work well against the studio lighting. Well I think you know which we would go with now ;)

I don't like LED fans at all, 0/10 would not bang on the outside or inside. I think Noctua Redux's would look classy with a white build, just to be a bit different.

After seeing that and a couple of other I have been looking at Im going with the white black, want the seasonic snow silent in there too but mid feb is even more delays which quite honestly I was wanting to order everything Friday night and get it hear asap.

Graphics cards already on order but hate that SLI connecter in the picture you posted which im guessing is the one that comes with the board, need to find something that looks nicer and will fit the slot arrangment, any ideas?

To be honest the stock fans might look nice on there own as they are white and black is also something I have been thinking

Ok now very excited, all ordered and went with the X99 Deluxe, found somewhere that had the Seasonic Snow in stock... now it just playing the waiting game for all to arrive.

Hey guys, firstly just want to say thank you for all the great advise with this PC build.

The beast is now built and up and running and I will make a new post with pictures of soon, there has been a little delay due to some BSOD issue I have been having with windows 8.1 which just drove me mad for a little while manly to a corrupt installation from USB so I ended up putting an optical drive in in the end and reinstalling the old fashion way which again came with some BSOD issues that I come to realise we're caused by the Asus software which I have now since removed.

All is working great and been glued to Dyingight last couple of days!

Anyway thank you OC3D for your help and support I am very pleased with it, now all I need is to give it a name!!
