New Case!?

Hi guys!

thinking of getting a new case! i currently have a Bitfenix Raider tower case
with the 2 front mounted 2 x 120mm Bitfenix fans 1 x 120mm Rear fan 1 x 120mm on the bottom and a 200mm Bitfenix on the top witch i mad add has just self destructed....

running at full load my Graphics cards running at around 70c until the 200mm broke itself last week now it runs at about 81c :( i have to take the side off...

I was thinking even with all the fans working this is still pretty warm? and maybe get a larger case or just improving my airflow in some way will improve temps? what do you think?

At full load, 81c is not really anything to worry about if I'm honest. And it'd be a lot cheaper to buy another 200mm fan than a completely new case, unless you want a new case anyway.

Id rather get the 200mm fan replaced as its not even a year old and one of the fins flew off when it was spinning :S

Just replace the fan then, those temps are nothing worth worrying about.
Bitfenix do a few nice ones that don't cost too much and come in many different variations. With or without LEDs and in different colours too.

Ok so...ive got the new 200m Bitfenix fan...hasent really made that much difference to the GPU temps but hay ho...I would like to get them down from 78c at full load though :( any ideas? still think I need to improve my airflow....

Have you tried switching the fan on the floor of the case from exhaust to intake?

I haven't. Didn't think it would do much as there are to great big fans on the GPU

getting rid of my two hdd will help I think....

Flipping the floor fan over to add an intake instead of an exhaust will do more for the temps then getting rid of the HDD's

You could also set a different fan speed profile for the gpu if you using a program like MSI's afterburner or EVGA's Precision X (both are similar i just like Precision X better)
By doing that it would most likely be a bit more noisy but you could get the temps down a bit

Yeah I have Precision X setup very good program, ok so I flipped the fan over blew some cobwebs out the front intakes and BAM! 65c full load? Crazy.....
