What is the best placment for 2 reseivors?

I do not want to drill any holes in the case.

I am installing 2-360 rads verticle fittings on top, on the front panel in the left and centere blow holes.

I am considering placing one reseivor on the M/Board Tray (Loop One).

Then I would have to run the sata cabels on the back side of the reseivor. It would be very difficult to install Sata Cabels but they will fit. I would also have to fit the 24 pin cable behind the reseivor.

I would have to drill 2 holes in the M/Bioard tray.

Hooking up one Uber 655 pumps (Modified Swiftech 655 Pump) would mount directly to the reseivor using a single fitting.

The second reseivor on the rear panel left side. But this will block installing graphic cards or what ever on future expansion and I would have to drill 2 holes in the case to mount the reseivor.

How ever the reseivor would pop out of the brackets. Plus it would make the 2nd loop longer. I will mount the second Uber 655 pump next to the pump in loop one.

Advanages of mounting the reseivors on the radiaters. I would not have to drill any holes in the case.

I am concerned about effecting the air flow thru the rads and increasing the water tempreture if the reseivors are mounted on the rads.

I could leave out the reseivors and use 2 T fittings. I have read on the forums it is vary difficult to get the air out of the system.

Please give me some input on draining the 2 loops? I thought I could lay some towles in the bottom of the case with a bowl and disconnect the loops to drain the fluid every three months.

Should I install 2 fill ports? I have all the fittings for the fill ports.

Thanks

Thank you for your input and help.

The T line is cheap, won’t take a lot of space, probably you will have to start/stop the pump more often to get the air out but that shouldn’t be a problem? You could also get smaller reservoirs(100) they are enough and it would be easier to place them on the mobo tray(where I prefer to see reservoirs

Thanks for the input,

That is a good thought of using smaller diameter reseivors. This would also shorten up the 2nd loop.

If I mount the reseivors on the rads I was wondering if this would effect the water temp in the reseivor since the air coming thru the rads would be wormer than ambient temps?

Thanks

I checked on the diameter of a 100 Resevoirs and the 250 Resevoirs. The are both 60 in diameter.

Maybe 1-2 °C

You are probably correct on the tempreture increase.

I will forget about mounting the resevoirs on the rads. I do not want to increase water temps. The purpose of water cooling or any other cooling is to decrease the tempretures. Not to increase temps.

Thank you

unfortunatly, i know little about watercooling

however

i have seen resevoirs that fit in 5.25" drive bays.....

maybe one of those would save you space?

I appreciate your input. How ever space is not the issue. case is 18 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 24 inches tall. I considerd using a reseivor in the 5.25 bay. This would add 10 inches to the inlet tube and 10 inches to the out tube = 20 extra inches per loop x 2 loops = 40 inches of extra tubing increasing the head pressure and reducing the amount of water could pump in a minute. GPM.

You are going to use 2x 655 pumps?

Yes sir, I am using two Uber 655 pumps, These are modified Swftech 655 pumps one on each loop. From Performance PC

By the way looking at the specs on your three computeres very nice. How do you like the MAC Snow Leapord operating system?

Ok Ok: Just trying to figure out the best way to set this up.

I think I have to much free time and spent to much time reading reports, reviews and so on.

Plainly put, To much free time on my hands.

I really do appreciate all your input. You must be getting a big laugh, I hope so.
