New AM3/2 cooler Required

Hi, I recently upgraded my CPU but the current cooler is pants. (A cheap PC world own brand one).

Its currently idling at about 47 C, but i want to OC it a bit more so a better cooler is required.

I was hoping to spend around £30 but its flexible, just want a good quality air cooling solution. Any advise would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

That TRUE is a good price as it's AM2 only. That's what I'd go for.

There are a multitude of fans out there, but in your case you'll have to buy to budget. The TRUE excels with a push-pull if you're really taking things to high OC's, otherwise one fan will be more than adequate. I see a lot of people recommending the PWM Akasa Apache fans, though I haven't tried them myself. This may be the case that people bought them because they believed they looked cool and are justifying their purchase to themselves (like the Corsair H50 I find!). A good bet would be to see what sort of budget you can put up for a fan and then go from there.

I did notice the all-in-one H50 liquid cooling kits but unsure as to how good/safe they are. I see they are about £55 though which is around 50% of the price of the CPU in the first place :o <-- Worth it???

I was hoping to spend £10 on fans such as 2 of these:

or

Are these bad??

Would it be better to go for a single Apache with the possibility of upgrading later down the line.

Buying 2 would bring a total of the same as a H50 anyway...

<-- Which would be better, a H50 or the TRUE with Push-Pull Apaches?

As for the AM2 my mobo is compatible with it but will it be less effective as my CPU is AM3?

Lots of questions here sorry, Thanks for any feedback

I'd personaly get a zalman cpns or a TuniQ tower 120 both AMAZING cooler. sayign that the AC 64 cooler for £20 is verry hard to beat

cheers for advice guys. i went for the h50 in the end after seening an infinite number of excelent reviews and getting some money allowing me to extend the budget. :D
