Network drivers help!

Hey,

I just updated from Windows 8 to 8.1 and now my internet doesn't work... I downloaded latest 8.1 LAN drivers off ASUS website, on my dads PC, loaded them onto my external HDD... plugged it in and installed, no change.
Tried restarting... no change.

The Windows SmartScreen kept popping up saying that it's not connected to the internet and can therefore not determine if the specific thing should be run or not.

Before downloading the lastest drivers... I tried to use the motherboard disk, still didn't do it.

Now I'm stuck... with no net drivers working :(

Help please...

What is the motherboard model?

And after downloading the file, did you unlock it in its properties? I remember getting troubles with asus drivers cause I didn't unlock the files before installing it, so the installation was corrupted without saying anything.

ASUS Gryphon Z97 Armor Edition

And do what exactly?...

Well I literally can not do anything... I might just reinstall windows again and not upgrade to 8.1

Once your file is downladed, right click on properties,on general you 'll have Advanced and unlock tabs, click sur unlock, you'll be prompted with a windows saying that the file is locked to protect you and ask you if you wish to unlock it anyway.

Small question, I know that it is a bit silly but which file did you download?

Turbo LAN V1.05.03 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit

or

Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V19.1.51.0 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit (WHQL) ?

Well, I sir... I thank you greatly for your help! :) ... it's working now, the Turbo lan did not work at all, but yours did.

Thank you dude! :D

Glad you'd get sorted, as I said before turbo Lan is only a utility not the driver itself :)

Ohh... well... lol... so that is why it didn't work. I was wondering why it wasn't working lol, got some wondering there, hehe :P

Thanks again bud! :)
