it wasnt my comp.....was the downstairs one. i was just installing virus ad spyware protectin, FF, office, you know the progs to get it running for the folks.
ok ok what am i thinking .... AUSTRUMI a live linux distro (runs from disk) it was created to facilitate 'accessing' windows machines (and resetting their passwords ROFL) it should allow u to edit the info in the boot.ini .. u may need to remove one of the disk in the raid 1 .. or edit both identically
the current version uses kernel 2.6.12 so should support ur SATA flawlessly
its on 50 MB hell i could get it on dial up @ tm .. its boot menu provides options to boot austrumi , run memtest , scan the disk for errors and reset the current machines windows password to something of ur choosing
alright... I got it up.. But i am having the same problem I had before
The system hangs and locks up at the login screen (says windows is starting up) for about 2-5 min and after it shows my account and I can put my password in. At this time all my usb stuff is not on and I cant use any of my usb stuff. But if I unplug one of the cables it boots...
weird becuase It started after I installed 77.72 but I uninstalled it, ran it on a single card all the same..also it happens on the 77.77 (new) and on all the other releases.
