So you had a 3 second wait set in your boot.ini so you could choose a different OS to boot into? Is that what ur saying?

Can you just not edit the c:\boot.ini file using notepad and restore the option?

Windows config Problem deterined by a file .. use the XP recovery console!

this will give support for your SATA drive as well (Most DOS'es do not)

you could edit the c:\boot.ini file using this console (if no text editor is present copt the file to a floppy .. edit and copy back)or simply issue the

FIXBOOT command

well i dont understand the error so writing it al may help.

Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware config problem.

Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware boot path

Also check Windows based documentation from the manufacture for more details

Dosen't help much...

It's your fault for not readin up on what that does in the boot.ini in Google before doing it. :).

Did you try the command in the recovery prompt, FIXBOOT.

Just reformat. :awhip: :D
