Need help with display

I have a Dell S2340M monitor. A Sapphire 7950, 3770k,16 g Patriot mem. 750 w psu. I am having problems with my display. There is a line of tearing going across the screen, about 1/4 of the way down from the top. I have tried everything I know to correct this. I have reinstalled the drivers, software. The monitor itself has a recondition function. I let this run for about 2 hours. It doesn't seem to appear when I'm playing games only when I look at you tube or netflix. any thoughts ?

sounds like a hardware issues, either loose cable, bent pins or in worst case fried gpu chip but since you said its fine in games its quite weird and it may indicate a software issues instead.

Best thing to do, try monitor with diffrent PC.
