No Display With DVI

Hello guys,

So the list of problems continues.....
Plugged in a DVI monitor to the DVI on my 1080 and no display.
So list of what I have tried:
New Cable
Reinstall drivers
Different monitor same DVI Cable
Detect display in windows
Double check that everything is properly connected
Reinstalled windows
Swore loudly and repeatedly at it
Threatened to sell it and buy a Mac

Now my GPU is a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce OC, motherboard is an MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon with an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 stock clocks.

Any ideas?

well im not to savvy but first would double check in device manager my onboard graphics is turned off (prob disconnect new gpu before) , try that then would use hdmi and if you want to stick with the DVI there's small DVI to hidm adapters
