I am only gaming on 1080p for now so fps doesn't seem to be a concern too much at this point. These are the ones i am looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...61-429^14-161-429-TS&percm=14-161-429:$$$$$$$. I want something that i can get a full water block for.

With that XFX card you are paying Tahiti LE money and only getting Pitcairn.
Look at some benchmarks and you will see the difference. You will also notice that the extra $100,- for the 7950, doesn't really buy you all that much.

This would be a much better choice. Although I would prefer the Cub3D version.

I would say this for a 7950.

7950 is the 3rd fastest on the market behind the 7970 and 680. a 670 from what i have seen is slightly slower and for the extra cost is not worth it because well....it's more money.
Full waterblocks are available from EK for a 7950.

670 has caught the 7950 again so it's pretty much six of one, half a dozen of the other.

In Tomb Raider I edged out a pair of 7970s which tbh shouldn't have happened given it's an AMD evolved title.

I also had a huge disadvantage at a CPU level given I was running bone stock at the time.

I doubt there will be a full block for the 7870le, there's only a limited amount I believe. I have a uni ek block on mine and some heatsinks on the ram and it is cooler then with the stock cooler

Newer drivers for Amd have fixed Cf configs. 13.4 for example as fixed the runt frame issue. At least i am pretty sure it has.

The driver that fixes the issue isn't due until at least June/July.

The latest driver does make the experience somewhat smoother but it doesn't remove the runt frames.

This is an issue Crossfire has suffered with since it was introduced so it's going to take a lot of hard work to make it go away. It's made harder because AMD chose to ignore it whilst Nvidia decided to work on it and fix it ages ago.

Right now Nvidia have hardware on their cards that prevent it, AMD don't so they need to do it all via software and that's a lot for them to get their heads around.

TBH had this issue never come to light they would have just carried on as normal.

there's just so many choices... This is my first time spending over $100 on a gpu and I am Fi ding it very difficult

It's not difficult.

1. Decide how much you want to spend before looking at anything.
2. Ask around for what fits into your budget.
3. Take that advice, people here know what they're talking about.
4. Buy card.

From the sound of your budget you can afford the 7870 LE and at a push the 660ti. So basically you need to then decide which of those you want.

Ok so sounds like I'm am going g to Dave up for the 7870LE. Does anyone know if anyone else make it besides powercolor that i can buy in the US. I know sapphire used to buy I think they stopped making it

Other than powercolor, I know of Sapphire, VTX3D, and Club3D. I think XFX has one as well, but not entirely sure.

I have the Club3D.

Sorry for the bad spelling earlier... was at work and typing on my android lol. The only one newegg seems to have left is the powercolor one. The only reason I want to get it from newegg is so I can get the game bundle. I should have the money together by the end of the month and I will make and update on my computer, project nightmare.
