Ok lads and lasses i'm stumped now and in of help. The story is my little brothers PC randomly stopped displaying an images to the monitor and i tried everything but i cant get it to give me an image now. I've checked the GPU into another PC it worked, I checked on another monitor it worked, I checked the cable using HDMI, VGA, DVI to see and that didnt work, tried the onboard video and that didnt work....

So i assumed it must be the motherboard and bought him a new one (z77A-g41) assembled everything and again nothing it being displayed on the monitor...

Need help cant work out what the hell the problem is...

You said you tried to use the pc with another monitor and it worked? Have you tried to use your own pc with his monitor as well?

Yup my monitor and his monitor use different types of cords so it cant be that i feel the problem is in the PC as both monitors work fine, the whole pc powers up and all the fans spin but noting signal is being sent to a monitor, could it be the CPU if the CPU was dead would the image still display e.g. the mobo post screen saying CPU failure or something because nothing gets displayed no post screen or anything...

I had this problem in the past sometimes when i put the monitor on different connectors on the videocard.
Have you had the power completely off the system as well and then started it up?

Also, was your brother messing with setting up multiple displays when it happened?
