I'm unable to set my ddr2 HyperX to run on 1066MHz it's olways 800Mhz and when I put another ram of 800 it lovers down to 400MHz why?My mother board is ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe and it suports 1066Mhz.Should I change the bios or sompthing?

hahah we have almost the same MACHINE.XD

I have:

AMD Phenom x3 845 that works on 2.5 clocked not much but it is god for me.

ASUS M3N-HT DELUXE bios old version

GAINWARD 1GB GTX 460 (800/1600/2000)

KINGSTON 3 GB HyperX 1066Mhz

SAMSUNG 1tb F3

HYPRO 520W

Some bullshit of a dvd drive

and Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit

so you recommend to me to flash bios is that right?

Heya. I have Corsair dominator PC6400. It's 2.1v.

When I set the timings to 4-4-4-12 and the speed to 800mhz the PC wouldnt boot. I was pooing it a little.. Reset the bios and then realised that I also had to set the voltage. Timings like that can not be achieved with 1.8v.

So, make sure you set that too. As that may be why you are reverting back to 800.

KINGSTON 3 GB HyperX 1066Mhz

Hrmmmm *scratches chin*. If that is not a typo then please, don't tell me you bought a triple channel kit (three sticks?).

If you did then you'll never get it to time correctly or run in dual channel mode and that will drag your speeds down.

Now hopefully you own 4gb on twin 2gb sticks. If you own three then you made a booboo.

Edit. Wait.. They don't make triple channel DDR2 kits. So that must be a typo.

Edit again. Also, your board IIRC is similar to mine. It has yellow and black slots. However, you can't just put it in random slots. The board is dual channel so you MUST put the two sticks in the correct slots or it will not operate in dual channel mode, dragging your speeds down.

No.

When I was typing that I made a mistake it's 2 not 3 and it is just a one piece(stick).@

I also have a one stick of 1GB that is on 800Mhz but when i put it,i was expecting that the one HyperX will lower it self on 800Mhz but that did not happen both of them where on 400Mhz - - That's insane!

It does that because you throw out dual channel mode mate. It's not insane it's totally normal.

Your ram is really 533 MHZ. That is what CPUID will report back to you. However, because it's DDR2 (double data rate dual channel) it operates at double that speed. If you throw in another one you default back to non dual channel mode and because you are running a 800mhz stick with it you reduce the total lane bandwidth to 400mhz.

take the mis matched 1gb stick out and ull get the 1066 speed or buy another set of hyper x to get fual channel mode mate only solutions for it
