Need a new mouse

My Logitech MX510 just died and I was wondering what is a good replacement? This ones lasted me 5 years or so and I have loved it but now im thinking "wireless". I need it to have some extra buttons and geared towards gaming.

What do you guys think?

I like my G700

Wireless all the way. It's annoying how much a cable can drag the mouse. AND you get a free AA battery recharger in the G700

I've had it for about a month or so and i haven't really used any of the buttons yet. The software for doing it is a bit annoying but it can be done. I had a Roccat kone like 2 years ago and the damn thing kept breaking. The mouse wheel only lasted 3 months and the cable fell out once so i didn't bother with it anymore.

They are quiet expensive I guess. Cant really think of a cheaper alternative unless its the one I already have.

What about the Razer Naga? It has a lot of buttons and is aimed at MMORPG gamers. Another good option is the Razer DeathAdder. I have one myself and I am very happy with it

I'v had a razer before and I hated it. I sent it back within a day just because it felt so awful in my hand.

OK so I wont be getting a wireless one. I do like the look of the sensei but can I justify it? Someone talk me into buying something cheaper please.

If you're looking for the slightly less featured, but has the exact same functionalities of the Sensei, you could the Steelseries Xai. Its little brother would be the Kinzu which is the base model with only 3 buttons. There's also the Ikari optical or the laser versions.

But if you want more buttons I'd say go with the Xai. It feels just the same as the Sensei.

So am I right in saying that the Xai has the same amount of buttons and sensitivity but just hasnt got all the customization software and the LCD screen?

The thing is I really need the buttons.

Here, you may take a look at this.

It's very similar, but also different. Sensei is so much more improved and customisable. Definitely a mouse to look for if you require 8 buttons (7 excluding the CPI switch).

As someone already said, the cheaper alternative from SteelSeries is the Xai. It's the exact same mouse without the flashy LED icon. It still has the screen underneath, you just can't customise it. I have one myself and it's the best mouse I've used, and I've used a LOT of mouses (22 years old, and have lived for the past 5 years in a house with 3-4 other guys who game all day). My friend used to be a Razer fanboy, until all of his products started shitting themselves after a year, the Death Adder mouse being one.

If you want an alternative to SteelSeries, I'd honestly say go with Roccat. He bought one of those to replace the Death Adder and it's quite comfortable. A bit small for my liking, but still feels really smooth, and doesn't have all those useless as shit buttons on the side.
