n00b Intel board question

OK so you know I've never OC before but decided to give it a go, plus while I'm at it I'm going to build a new PC.

My question is, I've pretty much decided on a 66 or 6700 Conroe but which mobo is easiest to work with for this chip, OK I'm probably not going to push it to the max like some of you :D but looking for a nice and easy workable option here.

Many thanks

I had the p5b-d before my max - mine died on me but xms's works like a champ! You should seriously consider the p5b-d.

The max is pretty good but your money should really go on an nforce 680i mobo... Not the evga one - abits or someones. I'd look for the linkage but it's late and i'm tired... I'm sure the other guys will chip in. If not i'll look for you tomorrow

Yep, I'm going to trade the AW9D for an IN9-32 MAX when it comes out.:D

As for who has the most friendly mobo, the AW9D is the friendliest but also happens to be the newest I've bought. One special touch I really liked about it was that the BIOS-flashing program in Windows actually worked, which basically means I don't need a floppy drive anymore!:worship: (or worrying about screwing up my mobo because I didn't flash the BIOS correctly. I got really nervous every time I flashed a BIOS before...)

TJS

(ABIT should pay me for all the plugging I've done...)

OK I've got the E6700, Swiftech WC and obviously now my GPU is the 7950 GX2 so motherboard is next....thanks for the recommendations so far, I'm just doing a little reading up on each of them :D

Sorry to bring back an old thread but what about those DFI's.

Loads of people seem to have the P5B D but there have been some hassles mentioned in other threads.
