My specs, need some help!

Hi, all.

I need some help picking up parts and stuff

Well, all my work is video rendering and like that, just to let you know.

My specs are:

intel I7 3930k
Asus Sabertooth x79
ATI Radeaon 7970
G.Skill TridentX DDR3-2400 MHz
SAMSUNG SSD 256GB for OS
2x seagate barracuda 3TB 7200 RPM

Now to the questions:

1- Would this PSU be enough:
Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 High Performance Full Modular 850 Watt Power Supply ?

2- I am planning to OC the CPU to about 4.4-4.7.
how much radiator do I need 240mm? or 360mm? and how thicker it should be?

Last info: My case is HAF X from CM

the PSU actually is quite overkill for that thing, even 650W should be enough with just one GPU. for your OCing plans you should look into some AIO kits, those are enough for a 4.5GHz OC. for a custom loop definitely a 360mm rad, 40 - 60mm thick.

Well, about the PSU.. I was thinking I may ADD another video card in future that's why.
about the watercooling.. can you recommend to me any kit from FrozenCPU?
also, I am thinking of only watercooling the CPU.. Since all my work on that.

ah yea, then the ax850 makes sense. if you are only going to wc the CPU i'd recommend a corsair H100i with some SP120 (QE) fans, an entire loop doesn't make a whole lot of sense without GPU blocks imo.

well, the idea.. sometimes I encode 30 hours without stopping
so thats 100% cpu usage for 30 hours..

'cause of that I want a good watercooling kit that can take 6 cores heat for that period of time.
and still would gives me good temps.
I read about h100i.. its decent but not that good.
I also checked kraken x60.. but it doesn't fit in my case.

So I went for kits from like XSPC or or or.. but I can't find out.. which one to take.. since there is lots.. with different rads surfaces..etc

if you can help in this part.. I would be grateful.

For a PSU, have a look at the AX760i

240mm should be fine for the CPU but if you want to add gpu to look then get a 360
