Oh that's a good idea. You can always remove the heatsinks off the motherboard and do careful little touch ups using the gold paint that you have.

If you don't mind using the older looking BIOS with the yellow text on blue background, then you should be fine. The wording is a bit different from Asus boards, but things are kept well in each sections.

Recieved mail from Gigabyte. UD7 x79 will be only in orange and black pcb. Il get the UD5 then. Really like that board so np. Got Blue tubing, blue led cable, blue sleeving, blue xigmatek fans and the Raystorm has blue leds. Will fit nicely with my build

Looks like the x79 UD7 will be with only the orange theme. But, im not sure, so im gonna write Gigabyte a mail and ask if they will launch another UD7 for the x79.

I can run 3 graphicscards with UD5, and for me, that will be enough. I also got thumbscrews for the MB that came with one of the Lian Li chassis'es, witch i am planing to paint gold. I have never o.c with a Gigabyte MB, and i hope it isnt to mutch hazzle compared to the Asus mb's.

AFAIK Gigabyte overclocking is a bit dry compared to Asus, but the hardware quality OCing depends on is pretty much identical

Oh, cool. Well orange is still a nice colour. So you already have matching colours from the accessories. It will give the board a nice touch with the blue Xigmatech fans. Is it the cyrstal clear 7 blade 120mm fans that you are using?

Im only used to Asus Mb's so it will be interesting to oc with it. I dont need every single tweak option there is, since i just want a good 24/7 oc.

Aye, but they r 140mm xigmatek fans. Picture of them earlyer in the logg. Also got the sunbeam fan controller with blue leds(i might modd this one)

Prizes on the x79 and 3930k is up in Norway. UD5 will cost 2150Nok and 3930k 4500Nok. Thats 1147usd or 715£.

1155 rocks imho. Still going to have great use of my lanrig, and when things have setled down i will oc it more. That is after i get a good 24/7 oc on the SB-E

Thanks Kev. Will try and get some working done on monday-thoursday so i will update the logg asap when i got something more done.

I have tested both gpu's and they all work exellent after the mod. They have also droped alot in temps after i applied the MX3. Idling at around 40. Also, Performancepc's finaly got the extensions in stock, so they have been ordered. Waiting for two packages from them, so il show off some pictures when i recieve them. I am currently working on last finnish on the side planks and the acrylic, but you have seen how those looks. Il take a few photos of it when the sideplanks are painted.

Last bits on the sideplanks are done, and i have been sanding them down today. Will paint the housing when its done. Starting on the front and backside tomorrow.

I used the dremmel on the last plank, and that worked really nicely. Had to keep a very steady hand though

I'm still waiting on my new pc components - apparently the EVGA GTX 570 2560MB are in shortish supply =[

liking the update Azurite!

What will you be connecting to the Essence stx? Ive got one myself and love the headphone amp in it, with my dt 990s it sounds beautiful. Have I found a fellow audiophile on this site?

Got a Technics/Jamo soundsystem. Its 15 years old but it still do a decent job. And Harman Kardon pc speakers, but these are stored away since i use a bigger system atm.

A friend of mine works at a Hi-Fi store, so i will probably get some nice prizes on a new amplifier and speakers. Maybe il upgrade at fall 2012.

So you are happy with your Beyerdynamic headphones? I was thinking about getting the Monster Beats by Dr.Dre Solo HD since ive heard so mutch good about them. I have ordered the Corsair Vengeance 1300 headset for gaming, but dunno if they are good for music...
