Very Nice. Any Idea how much more time is needed for it to be finished?
Thanks.
Already used one Vertex for 6-8months and it has been top notch, 100% stable and also among the top performance wise. Theres no manufacturer in the marked who didnt have an issue with their ssd's due to bad batches/firmware. Even Intel had SSD's dying, and they have the most reliable ones. I have used and owned Intel/corsair ssd's who died but i never talked badly about them or recomended people not to buy there products. The reason for me not flaming the producers is that all products can die or end up faulty. Its just the way it is![]()

That's good to hear. It's just that on nearly every topic about SSD's people always say "avoid OCZ" or words to that effect. I haven't used an OCZ drive so I have nothing good or bad to say about them. But as you said you've had good experiences with OCZ drives so there was no reason for you not to buy them. Anyway I don't want to keep going off topic so I'll just say MOAR Pics, lol.
This build looks so awesome, it's just...![]()
As for the OCZ SSD's, i actually like their SSDs, i think they're great. I've heard bad things about their older SSD's but the new ones like the Vertex and Agility 3's i haven't heard much negativity about them at all, and the Vertex 4 is meant to be great too. It's their PSU's i tell people to stay away from, but imo their SSD's are perfectly fine, plus they look pretty good too
The way you have the drives mounted. I like it.
I was going to make some cool acrylic mounting plates for the ssd's but i couldnt agree with myself on where to put them or the design. I might experiment some with that later when it is up and running.
They would look amazing. Especially if you could make them look like they were floating.
WoW the hardened glass looks epic. The exterior looks brilliant now![]()
I guess soon its time to fill the desk with some hardware![]()
Is the glass going to be mounted on hinges so it can lift up when you require access to the internal components?
Hmm, now i have to go shopping and buy me some fruit cake![]()
Yeah im really happy with it, it looks great, easy to clean and its also very strong. There will be no henges on this plate, so il just lift it away whenever i need to do anything on the inside. The glass is very heavy and it doesnt move because of the rubber gaskets.
Going to clean the housing on the inside tonight and start to fill it up with components. Im exited as hell![]()
