Damn I wanted to see the controllers mounted. Shame I have to wait.

Sorry about that. Our babygirl got sick last night so i was awake til 07.00am before my gf took over and i finaly could sleep some. Couldnt have her in the kindergarden today, so thats why i didnt get any time for the project.

Family first mate. Is everything OK now?

Yeah all good. She sleeps like a litle angel

I couldnt stand one more night with vomiting

Finnished the mountingplate for the NZXT controllers. Im not 100% happy with it, but however, i do think it will look really good on the inside. It will save me some cutting and tap out work on the frontside. If i do more of this kinda cut outs, i would get a contour saw for better control.

Next part is to modd the Sunbeam Rheobus extreme controller. I dont want any bright lights shining on outside so the plan is to take off the nobs and give it some sooty/smoked black look or maybe white.

Ive taken off the knobs on the fan controller. 2 of the knobs was a real pain to get off, and i was afraid i might break the controller or the knob.

I know how to change leds in this controller, and i also have a the equipment for soldering, but i rather have no bright lights on it. So the plan is to paint the knobs white. Perhaps i will get a litle blue glow trough the paint? That might look good i think. Im gonna try and plugg it to the psu as soon as the paint has dried. I recieved a package today with my new router and the Skyrim game. Il set up the router but i dont think i will start playing the game right now. We all knows what happens when you start that kinda rpg

Yeah so far im really happy with it. Have tested the speeds on the wifi now and its exellent. We can use several laptops(streaming/DL) on it at same time, so its all good. It got usb 3 and a NAS funcion with the Ready share. Tested it and it works great.

Will try to get some paintjob done after our litle one is gone to sleep.

-5 outside and very windy. I had to paint the knobs in a small room and just opened a window slightly for ventilation. Ive already put on some primer and its dried now. Il give it a coat of the white in 10min and luckely, this paint is quickdried so i can put on second really soon. Will try the knobs on and with lights after second coat. I think that could be perfect if i want alitle glow from the blue leds. Im gonna see if i can handle our HD cam and post a quick youtube video on how it looks in the dark(if not to late at night).

Edit: first coat is on. Got bad working conditions

Tried a tip that MonsterMawd gave. I heated the spray can up for 10 min before i started using it. The beam gets alot wider and you save paint when doing it, so great tip MonsterMawd
