Hey All,

Just thought i would show off my build i not happy with it tho my cable management looks like crap (well i think) but i have made a mistake with the fans cause as you can tell i'm trying to do a black and blue build so what did i do i brought Noctua fans like a idiot lol, i do like noctua fans but i do agree with most people they only work in a small number of builds, but you learn from your mistakes. The 2 front noctua fans they were such a pain to mount in the front so i knew buying them were a mistake. So can anyone give me some advice on some replacement fans like the Corsair fans but they have to be black and blue fans and just any advice in general.

Looks quite good dude, are you running those fans on the speed reducers?

Hey Tom thanks for the reply

no i'm not atm, any other advice you could pass on for me, i'm not really happy with the cable management i look at your build videos on youtube and i can never get mine to look like yours oh well i guess i just have to keep trying :D

nice clean build
the cable management looks not bad
you can always make a cover by the psu to hide the cables there
but you did a good job so far better then me on some build

Agreed , don't think you could do any better to be honest, stock Corsair RM cables (flat cables) are a pain to work with in my opinion, You could get some other cables (braided), a little expensive but it depends what finish you require.

This was the one reason I went for the Corsair 540 Air, can be a little more slack as most cables along with the PSU are seated in the right hand side of the case behind the mobo.

Click here for some options from Corsair > PSU Parts and Accessories

Really nice, but your right when you said
i brought Noctua fans like a idiot
, I'd love to see what you will do with this to colour-match better and hopefully fill up that mass of space you have left :P

Thanks all for the advice
I don't mind calling myself a idiot i have called myself worse :D
I'm thinking about getting the Corsair LED fans for the case and just a normal PWM fan for the heatsink any advice should i stick with 140's or go 120's.

Go with Corsair AF 140's for intake and exhaust (if they fit, if not AF 120's) and Corsair SP 120's for the CPU cooler, also what will you do with all that space you have left?

I think that is what i will do and maybe i will add more fans to the roof just to try and fill up the case a bit more :)

nice build dude :)
Thank you its still a work in progress :)

Nice build mate! I know the feeling of an empty case, if I find an answer I'll tell you ;).

Hey Tom,
I'm thinking about buying some fan speed reducers which voltage should i buy Phobya Adaptor 12V 3pin to 7V 3Pin or Phobya Adaptor 12V 3Pin to 5V 3Pin i'm kinda clueless when it comes to this sort of stuff i'm also changing the fans to corsair LED AF quiet ones.

If your going to get quiet editions you shouldn't need them, and I'd much prefer having less fuss with a fan speed controller, but you won't need it.
Edit: Also make sure you get SP 120's for the CPU cooler, possibly the quiet edition PWM version (with that it will spin up when your cpu gets hot, but only when it gets hot, and still wouldn't be that loud under large load)

Thanks for that

with the CPU fan i'm going to get the Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition PWM
