MSI P45 Diamond overclocking thread

Okay, I wanted to try a different MB and got what I asked for when I purchased the MSI P45 Diamond. I am lost with some of the settings in the Cell Menu but becoming more familiar from research and trial & error.

If you have a P45 Diamond please list your settings in the following format with any additional comments and maybe we can get some stable OC's and reach P45 Diamond's potential that the reviews say is there, with a bit of patience:banghead: and hopefully some good bios updates:nopitty;.

If you are experienced with overclocking and have some suggestions with some settings, feel free to list'em and I will give'm a go.

Firstly, what kind of an overclock are you aiming for?

Second whats your reason for the overclock, gaming? or you just want to see how high it will go.

Also would be helpful to know what method of cooling you are using.

I have'nt used the 'diamond' but I have used the platinum p45d, so the bios will be similar, we got our board up to 5.3ghz at a recent event on ln2, More is available with the right cpu etc etc etc.:)

Firstly, I would like to see how high I go then settle on a nice decent 3.6-3.8ghz to game, render videos, do several things efficiently and quickly without crashing or bogging down.

Second I am using a custom cooling centered on the apogee drive (block/pump), with a modded Coolit System CPU Eliminator/TEC's and pump in loop, TT TMG2, Swiftech Micro-res.

Flow direction is from the apogee drive to the NB, Micro res, eliminator pump, tec's, TT tmg2 back to apogee drive block. Idles at 27c, load @ 41c @ 3.2

ghz, @ 1.326v.
