MSI New colour options?

News Guru
Could MSI be working on a torrent of new potential colour options for their gaming series motherboards. Prepare yourself for something good.

To make things clear here these are just renders we obtained of possible new coloru options so we do not know when or if these will be released to the public, all I know is I WANT ONE!

Or maybe all black slots?

As we can see in the above design MSI are looking to pick up all those greens board fans that Gigabyte have sadly left by the wayside, including myself. As we can see here MSI are considering a darker green here but it will definitely suit an future Nvidia themed.

Secondly look at the CPU VRM heatsinks, ARE THOSE SCREWS?

Yes the green claw sections of the heatsinks will be removable, so the user can remove them allowing the owner to change the colour if they wish. Perhaps MSI can sell coloured heatsinks separately, akin to Bitfenix's coloured strips on their Shinobi case or just allow the user to remove and spray at their leisure.

As always extra customization/modding is obviously a great step here, especially in the motherboard market +1 MSI.

Perhaps the Gov would like to paint them white................WAIT!!!

BOOM White, doesn't it look great?

One thing's for sure these mock ups of the MSI's look fantastic, hopefully we will see more of these boards and indeed more colours in the future.

What do you guys think of these potential new MSI colour schemes? Is there any colours that you guys would love to see, hot pink perhaps?

Please post your thoughts and feelings below and as always thanks for reading.

i do like the idea of the white accents. not feeling the current heatsink design with the claws (the dragon of the previous gen was slick) but white could be nice. never a fan of the green.

MSI have like.. *always* been red.. so it's nice to see them opening their options.. I guess

I can't see how the DIMM slots or the PCIE lanes could be colour changed?

Fair enough with the two heatsinks though, and I do think they'd look good in different colours.

The current ones only have red accents on the heatsink anyway so I doubt they'd add colours just for the slots.

MSI boards were always blue up until the Z77 G45 Gaming, and after that they've all been red (and yellow if you're counting the mpower boards). It was a shame they all seemed to go red at the same time. The Z77 line had too many blue boards (Asus P8 range, and the MSI GXX & GDXX ranges). The Gigabyte boards were mainly blue too actually. Then they all just seemed to switch to red for Z87 (or Gold in Asus' case, but they already had the red ROG line anyway).

Great job MSI it's always nice to see "Options", get ready boys & girls, I'll put money on Gigabyte & Asus following suit. :)

I think with the Z97 boards manufacturers have fully realised people want multiple colour options. Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Black.

I've seen a lot of motherboards (Asrock is one) where the motherboard is like totally identical except for the different colours.

I think when X99 comes out we're going to see some of the bigger boards the high end ones come with multiple colour parts in the box to switch out the accents of the motherboard heatsinks and they'll keep the PCIe and DIMM slots neutral. That's my guess for the year :P

Um no, I'm talking about back in the VIA days lad, also back when I owned a K7N2 Delta that looked like this.

I know they've "done" blue, and yellow, but the branding itself to me has always been red orientated.

I'm liking the green one most, it's a nice bright shade from that pic.

Lol it's a photoshop dude, the green is likely not actually going to be *that* colour.
