P p1987 New member Oct 21, 2016 #1 Hello all, I have plunged for a gtx 1070, but it seems that there are low fps in games. A friend of mine gets higher fps with his gtx 970 that I do with my gtx 1070 ? Is there an issue with drivers ? Or perhaps dx12 rendering ? Perhaps my spec ? Cheers,

Kilbane Hagrid Look-A-Like Oct 21, 2016 #4 There is around 60% increase in power with the 1070 from a 970. Use benchmarks such as 3dmark or valley and heaven on the same settings to see if there really is an issue between the 2 cards.

AlienALX Well-known member Oct 21, 2016 #5 I would highly suspect that the culprit is your CPU. If that's your CPU in your sig of course.
AlienALX Well-known member Dec 1, 2016 #7 OP here is a good way to test. Run a overlay that monitors GPU usage. I get about 55% with a Fury X and a 2ghz Ivy CPU lol. Enabling Vsync will help, but yeah, I think it's time you replaced your CPU man.
