Mozilla prepares for Firefox 3 release

Ok downloaded and looks really sleek, very fast and looks reliable :) havnt tried it with ebay and other stuff the beta had problems with but I will let you know tomoz

So far so good for me as well.. Just installed on my second rig with no problems to report. Seems to load large images much faster which is a great improvement in my opinion.

I know it's only very early days but Mozilla seem to have done a good job on this, hope they get the download record. Now if only Microsoft could learn from them and release an operating system that does what it says on the tin!

Hi Bondi, I tried Firefox 3 on ebay last night after you mentioned the beta had problems with it, but it worked fine for me? Just thought I would let you know in case you had some other problem nearer to home?

If you go into my ebay, you have to have something sold and when you click on sold and then check a sold item and check it as dispatched and then if u click confirm it asks you twice and then it comes up an error up if u refresh it works

Try it

Cheers

¬¬ it must be something to do with work then because I tried it on 2 pc's

Oh well I only use ebay at work :yumyum:

Cracker for home :)

I haven't sold anything on ebay for ages, just bought. Maybe thats why I didn't notice a problem. Be interested to know if you sign in from home if you still get the same problem though, just for future reference? I could then use IE if I sold anything.

installed on day

couldn't get multiple search engines to work and it messed up my multiple lined bookmarks and didn't have the userchrome.css file to edit it back

didn't like the way it handles history etc.

back to ff2 now. personally don't see the point in upgrading browsers as i very rarely go outside the comfort zone which is my bookmarks

Only huge trouble I've found so far is the absolutely terrible autocomplete system they've introduced for web addresses. The old one was perfect, why mess with it?

Have you tried the Google toolbar Deshman? Use it to replace the normal Firefox toolbar and configure it as you want. You can add the buttons you need, including auto complete, which I use all the time. Works well for me and nothing changed with the upgrade. I can see no disadvantages to it, so got to be worth a try for you?
