Motherboard Issues?

Just built a system and the monitor will only recognize a signal from the VGA connector on the motherboard. It will not get a signal from the DVI connector on the mobo or the GPU. I have swapped the GPU to a known working one. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I know its a silly question, but...did you try a different DVI cable? Are you sure the DVI input of the monitor is good? check it on another pc. Menu settings on the monitor that you may need to switch to DVI, they won't do it automatically. If you tried DVI out on motherboard and the gpu and neither works I would suspect it has nothing to do with your pc and is a cable or a monitor issue
