MoonPig's Desk Mod

Hey,

I started a deskmod afew months back. It's gone well, and slowly developed over the months.

The Story:

I had a desk made for be, before i was into computers, about 8 years ago. Then after 6months of a thermaltake soprano, i decided it would be good to build my computer into my desk.

The mod cost me the price of some fans and extra cables.. haha. So quite cheap.

The 4 120mm fans ment i had great airflow. And managed 23c idle, 32c load on my 4870.

But recently i bought a Zalman reserator, and now ive gone fully custom water cooling. Which should be done this Wednesday.

There we go, what ya'll think?

I'm remaking the front (bit with two fans) this week.

Water loop should be finsihed Wednesday. Waiting on WCUK.

Thanks guys.

Below is the PSU, HD, CD, Wires and a 120mm fan.

The Rad is lifted about 3mm off the wood. I'm going to trial push and pull with the fans to start with. Then eventually make it so that the air flows through to the Mobo.

you might well need to lift rad out a bit more or you might have issues with pressure, or cut a hole through to the main chamber.

Well im aiming for pull from the fans to start with. And my room has a low ambient temp, so it should be alright.

I'll see over this week, then i'll start considering different options.

Thanks mate. I've just got some fans "Akasa Silent 120mm Smokey". Same as front and back ones. Their fitted. I'll get a picture in a min. Also just got my WD 500GB Black :D

And WCUK just told me that their shipping my order today. So, the loop should be done tomorrow :D
