Back home at last after the mad rush to Alder Hey. Joe has been given three types of painkillers to take. The MRI scan showed nothing out of the ordinary, which was good news. Hospitals main concern was that Joe may have Hydrocephalus which can happen due to the surgery. Good news this did not show up on the scans,so in the hospital ward for obs and rest, whil they sorted his pain management out. He was discharged late this afternoon after seeing the surgeon, the pain management team and doctors. Hopefully the next time we need to go to Alder Hey is to see the the Surgeon at the outpatients clinic which is in later April. It will take a while for Joe to be 100%.
