I originally named it this because of black, and black, and black with a tiny bit of red. However, someone else came up with a much better reason.

Because it has a 1 tear-ear-bite hard drive.

OK so the one thing that has driven me utterly spare with this case is the feet. Or rather, the ten minute feet. That is about how long they lasted.

If you look up at the pic with the arrows on you will see what this case had for feet. Four rubber pads. Rubber and carpet don't mix, so within ten minutes all four had ripped off completely. I was then ed off every time I tried to move it, as the bottom panels are held in with poppers and a screw. However, now that it has nothing for feet they continually catch the carpet as I move it around and pull out. I was literally just waiting for something to bend or snap.

So I kinda left it there. Every time I work on it it gets heavier and heavier so I asked my pal with some nice machines to make me something out of 10mm black acrylic. He obliged.

They've been deliberately chamfered to stop them catching the carpet. They're 70x70mm, so nice and chunky. When I take it home I will put some 3m felt pads (that you get for chair legs) on them to make them slide on the lino.

They're driving me nuts.

Every time I work on it I train them, they look great. Look away they're straight back to being bent. I wish cablemod et al wouldn't bloody do that.

I'm still considering pulling them out and removing the cable guide (that thing I have arrows pointing at) and running them inside that. However, I'm not sure they would all fit tbh.

I try it as they'd hardly be on show then, would look cleaner.

There's one major issue though. The hole at the bottom inside it isn't very big. It already has god knows what in it. I'm worried I won't get all three connectors through it.

I'm not cutting this case up. I did have another idea, might try that out soon :)

About 50 minutes ago I was happily asleep, having a nice Sunday lie in. Then my bedroom door gets thumped on. Took out my ear plugs "There's a monitor on the doorstep".

EH? it's Sunday FFS. Still, even though I had to drag it in in a half asleep stupor at least it's here.

I guess DHL and others are going at it full ham.

Found that the other night. Seems Tom quite liked it :)

OK just got the monitor out and set it up. It's amazing. HDR is tits, and BenQ are liars (because the one upstairs is lame in comparison).

Love it. Curve is neat AF too, really reminds me of going to those "surround 3d" theatres as a kid. I should buy enough to make a circle lol.

Gsync also works at 144hz with no issues, which I heard was hit and miss. Worked fine for me.

Now onto making that PCIE plate to hold in the sound cards....
