Microsoft to buy Logitech?

Well I dunno really..

Logitech has mainly been with Sony with their wheels and controllers (Logitech Driving Force Pro was offical GT4 wheel)

So either Microsoft stops support with PS3 or charges Sony a huge amount for support..

It is a smart business move though and would provide a better range than their Sidewinder brand that has been resurrected.

they needn't bring their crappy standard on mice with them... i loved my G5 and i love my G7 the M$ one i had before was a whole load of pants :(

Well the only good 'gaming' peripherals 've seen is the Microsoft Recusla (SP?) and Microsoft Habu.. But really it's really just a razer lol

I read this briefly at college on Friday and discussed it with a few people in my class, we all came to the same opinion that Logitech is doing fine alone so why would they want to sell all that to Microsoft who are trying to take over the world!

for even more money? better resources? jumping onboard the world domination wagon? maybe they were drunk?

Hell if I could afford to buy a very nicely performing hardware peripheral company who were one of my main competitors in the market, then I would.

Would have thought Logitech would have more sense though, although the directors would make a killing

it would certainly be a wise move for microsoft to buy them. I think they've been lacking in this market for a while and logitec are certainly good at what they do. You have to remember that when a company buys another, there's not always hugh changes, The products could just say microsoft on them instead.

The problem is, like with everything else if M$ buys them they will go to crap. Im sorry, but i like Logitech the way they are WITHOUT M$. Id like it to stay that way.

You may, hell so do i - but it is a good move for ms...not so for logitech (as a future company...but for now im sure they are making a killing)

m$ used to make some good/decent pc peripherals.

Their trackball explorer was damn good, and they scrapped it. Logitech`s versions aint so good.

Thing u gotta think about hear is why they`re thinking of taking them over. To continue to do as they`re doing - or - to engulf them as an extension of the xbox/pc accessory suite.

Chances are, they`d take them over, move all their current accessory interests into Logitech, and either sell/re-deploy the existing m$ accessoy capacity. May even pay for it, who knows.

If they really want it, they`ll get it, by all means necessary.
