I would like to get a microphone for gaming even a desktop style Unsure what I should be looking at, My mates keep showing me ones that cost an arm and a leg.

really the microphone is for skype or to shout at some idiot in a game for being a total gravy train.

earphones ok this is a hard one I have never ever bought pair ones I use are the ones you get with phones or ipods and truthfully the sound quality to me is fine but maybe Its about time ...oh I would even look at wireless since I listen to music on my bmx and motorbike but would they work on a pc?

web cam for skype for those moments when I have a chat to long lost friends who are only 30 mins away and I cant be bothered getting up and visiting.

I cant give a budget as such, I am on a low income and dont mind saving up but than again £200 earphones would go to waste on me

You should look at a decent gaming headsets as on a budget you should look at round £50ish mark, there is just no compromise for good quality sound and integrated microphone. I can personally recommend and guarantee the CM Storm Pulse-Rs which are excellent for gaming and skype. :)

I would have to find a local store to try them on, me and over ear headphones have never got on well, I tend to get crushed ears with headphones,

On microphones it depends how clear you want the sound to be. I just bought a cheap £4 headset with mic and snapped the earpiece with the microphone off, and whenever I want to use it I just attach it to my headphones with blu tack. Pretty ghetto, I know
A more expensive mic to take a look at would be Blue Snowball, very good reviews and I always see people recommending them.

For earphones I'd get SoundMAGIC E10, they sound really good, definitely an upgrade from the stock phones. Personally I've bought Shure's SE215 mainly because of the way they wrap around your ears and don't fall out no matter the activity.
Bluetooth earphones I have no experience with because you have to deal with batteries and I hate that, but if your PC has bluetooth they will work on your pc too.

For webcam I've used a Logitech C270, it's pretty decent and not that expensive.
