Microlab Solo 7C's

I finally took the plunge and bought a set of Microlab Solo 7C's after Toms review, and he hit the nail on the head again, They are awesome. I've been using a set of Bheringer ms20's for a while and they're great but the 7C's just do throw a hell of a lot of sound at you. I've not had much of a play, but from trying a bit of the Chillis some german gabba, and a bit of Plan B, and next some florence and the machine i'm overly chuffed so far. And they are just through an old banged up laptop, so when used with my lovely new XPower, with the suposed great onboard sound, if not my DGX, they can only perform better. Cheers Tom..

After watching Tom's review I decided to sell my Z-5500 and buy those as well. :) From what I read you have to buy some decent cables replacements because the out of the box ones are very poor quality. Will report once I put my hands on them .

I've got my hands on the smaller siblings, the Solo 6C and they're loud enough! I feel sorry for your neighbours... if they're douchbags however more power to you :)

My thoughts on them would be great for films and music, alright for gaming. I do prefer the logi z2300 for that.

I to got the microlabs after toms review.... and well the 7c would make it looks I had pylons on my desk lol!

So far the included cables seem to be ok, nothing special I suppose, they could have made the speaker cable longer though it's barely enough for my desk. So far movies are superb, for music they could be louder but the quality makes up for that. I've already got a 1k surround sound system for the loudness if needed.

Ok so I tested them for a week or two and they are excellent. Z-5500 were powerful and loud beyond reason but the Solos are quality. The sound is so much more clear and music sounds fantastic. Movies are where they shine too and to be honest I like them more for gaming than Logitechs, the soundstage is immense. I am very satisfied especially considering the price.
I had to change the cables though to longer ones, Prolink 2xRCA-2xRCA and Procab LS25 with banana connectors. Other than that they are wonderful speakers. :)
