mem test?

can some oen or every 1 tell me wtf to use this i have no idea? and i dont know who to see if its stable or not even if i was to get into program?

any 1 know of a guide or some thing?

a step by step guide would b nice

If it's the one I use, (memtest86) all you do is install it onto a floppy - that then becomes bootable - reboot, setup your timings etc in bios, exit with the floppy in a:

The programme then autoruns instead of allowing windows to boot - it takes mine about 30min to run through all 8 tests - just leave it going for as long as you can stand (though once through is a pretty good indication that your mem is stable!) - when you're done - press escape and your machine will reboot - take out the floppy and continue as normal :)

Memtest is a bootable app from:

http://www.memtest.org/

You make a bootable floppy or cd and install it on that, the site expains it all.

DFI NF4 boards have this integrated into the bios.

Looping test 5 and 8 is the best way of checking for stability.
