Media Card Drives Disappeared

Had one other problem with my new setup... the media card readers that are located on my floppy drive no longer show up in 'My Computer' (usually drives F: and G. They mysteriously disappeared yesterday, and I see nothing in the Device Manager or Disk Management to restore them. I hooked them into the USB slot on the mobo, and would swear they showed up when I first got the system running... any ideas how to find the problem and get 'em working agian?

try them on other usb pins. try on a differnet machine altogether?
