Strange, I thought they were lowering TDP for Haswell. Still, it's less than Sandy, slightly higher than Ivy though.
Maybe Haswell needs more volts for a higher OC? Can't see it needing the 2x 8pins though, I just hope they haven't put thermal paste on the die again this time

Yeah same, looks awesome! If the performance is on par with their current offering MSI could well be on their way to being one of my fav hardware manufacturers. I already rate their cards

That may actually be a good idea. Up til now they've been near the rear I/O and other awkward places. This would look a lot cleaner than having a random cable plugged in at the very middle of your board :lol:

Somehow all this integrated watercooling and multiple CPU power connectors make me think that Haswell should have more than a 10% increase over IB :huh:

I just hope with that Gigabyte board with built in water cooling don't mean a hot system cause that would really suck if it did.

I thought we we'd got beyond PCI lanes.

And 8 pin plus 4 pin CPU power to a board that isn't overwhelmed at all with VRMs and caps.

And I hope it doesn't have the blue southbridge heatsink on the retail version - and hopefully some kind of heatsink for the mosfets too...

I do like the idea of the internal usb header though.

It's all about the looks for this board TBH.

The pic is only a prototype though, so the final product will look better. They used the blue heatsink on the prototypes for the z77 an x79 boards as well, they like to keep the final design secret until release.

Looking at the white line around the fets area, there will be a heatsink. But there's no way they'll let that s/b heatsink stay that colour lol.. just no.

Noob question: Is that a 6 pin power connector above the Sata ports? or is that just my eyes?
