Yeah, I really don't think a 4770k would need 2x 8pin at all but oh well...
I love the matte black PCB and even the caps are all black :3
The extra 8 pin could be to feed the PCIE lanes so that you don't get burning on the 24 pin socket.
New teaser from MSI:
One thing I noticed is that the 2x 8pin CPU power connectors are now in a different position.
Have you lot seen the orange and black board from gigabyte!!! It's got active cooling on the vrm and water cooling!! Looks sick!!

Is that.... triple channel memory?
Looks like an overclocking board to me, with such beefy heatsinks and little I/O
Edit; LOL, I thought it looked familiar![]()
Not so sure about that one.
Not so sure about that one.
I thought we we'd got beyond PCI lanes.
And 8 pin plus 4 pin CPU power to a board that isn't overwhelmed at all with VRMs and caps.
And I hope it doesn't have the blue southbridge heatsink on the retail version - and hopefully some kind of heatsink for the mosfets too...
I do like the idea of the internal usb header though.
Yup, so much want
Edit: posted wrong pic before
