make xp remember volume levels?

as per the title,is there anyway to do this so it remembers what volume you set and sticks to it?

Do you mean just remember a level in general? if you do, there is an option somewhere that tells windows to knock the volume down if it thinks its too high for what youve got plugged in. Obviously this doesnt work and it sometimes assumes the volume is too high

just so it keeps my audigy 4's volume to what i set it to

maybe if i put back up the 'wave' output and lower the main one instead in the sound cpanel

anyone know if that will hold the setting?

failing that maybe the replay gain in winamp could..hmm

vista has a handy thing where you can set volume levels for different aplications....

shame they cant...notch that into an update and send it out for xp,...

I used this before I had a good speaker setup its very nice and sleek. (no i dont think that theres a definably sure way unless you made some sort of script)
