I got my Mach II today.

I plugged in the mains on the Mach II, load Windows and connect USB cable to MB.

The Mach switch straight on by plugging it into the mains and all 4 diodes is lighting.

When running Mach II Control Centre 1.23 in windows says:

USB connection failed - unable to run program

When running Mach bootloader no device says

No Mach II Device found

What could it be?

I checked Usb connection on controller board and tried all for USB rows on MB.

Wow, I was allowed to flash firmware to v. 821 and now LCD goes to Standby :) Plugged the USB cable to pin 1 at the MB and Windows found the drivers and loaded bootloader and flashed

Install the drivers manually. Check in compmgmt that they are actually installed.

Or click on control panel, then click on system and go to device manager make sure the mach does not have a yellow Question mark on it.

If it does click on it and select update driver - then install manually using windrv in the 123 folder.

fatty:You did point out somewhere in a post: If your firmware is corrupt your mach2 will switch straight on just by plugging it in to the mains.

This excatly was the case here I think.

Thanks for your help :)

The USB and firmware once again :D

The four diodes on back does not lit anymore. The green diode blinks when power cable is plugged in and the display says Standby and read temp and all that :)

GoLLuM4444 and maverik-sg1:Thanks and yes I'll install the USB drivers manually :)

Yes that is correct a lot of the time if the firmware is corrupt the mach will jst stay switched on

Glad you sorted your unit out :D
